At midnight, the entire city of Puri was plunged into darkness. It wasn’t a power cut — it was intentional. That night, a highly secretive ritual took place, known as Brahma Parivartan — the transfer of a divine, living energy from the old idols to new ones. The element is called Brahma Padartha — believed to be Lord Krishna’s still-beating heart.

 “When we touched it… it felt alive. Like a small animal moving in our hands.”

💓 Lord Krishna’s Heart – Still Alive After 5000 Years?

According to legend, after the Mahabharata war, Lord Krishna left his physical body — but his heart didn’t burn during cremation. It glowed and remained alive. Arjuna placed it on a wooden plank and set it afloat. That heart reached the coast of Puri, where a tribal leader named Vishwavasu began worshipping it as Neel Madhav. 

Later, King Indradyumna had a divine vision to build a grand temple — and that’s how the Jagannath Temple was born.
